1. Oiling – Do oiling once a week. While oiling, apply oil to the hair strands. Use lukewarm oil. You can use any oil, but coconut oil is advisable. Keep oil for an hour. Overnight oiling is not advisable. Do not massage your scalp vigorously. Vigorous massage can damage hair, making them weak and easily breakable. Gently massage your scalp with your fingertips.

  2. Use right shampoo – You should select your shampoo as per the need. If you have oily, flaky scalp, or if you use dry shampoo, preferably use SLS shampoos, as they are very good cleanser. If you have dry scalp, use gentle shampoos. If you have coloured hair, or chemically damage hair then go for SLS free shampoos. Always dilute your shampoo before using. Pour diluted shampoo over scalp and gently massage it. If you have dandruff issue, apply medicated anti-dandruff shampoo over scalp and use routine shampoo to clean your hair strands. Frequency of head bath generally depends on your scalp type. If you have oily scalp you should frequently wash your scalp, while for dry scalp once a week washing suffix.

  3. Prefer luke warm water – Prefer luke warm water to wash your hair. Cold or hot water can damage your hair cuticle, a protective layer of your hair.

  4. Do not skip your conditioner – Conditioner plays a very important role in managing frizziness. Every hair wash should be followed by conditioner. Apply sufficient amount over your hair strands and wash it gently after 2-3mins. Do not try to wash out conditioner completely. Some amount of conditioner should remains over your hairs, which will form a coating around hair strands, protecting them from pollution and other damages.

  5. Air dry your hair – Do not hurry to dry your hair. Gently dab them with soft cotton towel. Do not rub them vigorously with towel. Try to avoid hair dryer to dry them out, allow them to air dry. If you want to use dryer, use cold air setting or use protective serum over hair before using any heating devices.

  6. Correct way to comb your hair – Always try to detangle your hair when they are still damp. Do not comb wet or completely dry hair, as it may damage your hair. Use your fingers to detangled your hair before using comb. Use wide toothed wooden comb.

  7. Hair mask or leave in conditioner – For frizzy hair, use hair mask once a week for 15-20 minutes. You can also use leave in conditioner over damp hair before combing.

  8. UV protecting serum – Use UV protecting serum over your hair to protect them from harsh sunrays.
