Monsoon season brings greenery and wet soil aroma all around, when it comes to skin and hair health, this season brings red flags. Monsoon brings lots of skin and hair issues like dryness, fizziness, dry/ chapped lips, skin rash, fungal infections, skin allergies etc. Today we are going to share some tips for healthy skin and hair, during monsoon season.
Face
- Use gentle cleanser – Use hydrating cleanser, which will clean your face with dirt and oil, without letting it dry.
- Be regular with your moisturizer – Use lightweight, gel or lotion based moisturizer.
- Do not skip your sunscreen – Be regular with your sunscreen on cloudy days too. One application does not suffix. Reapplication every 2-3 hours is important.
- Do not layer up – Do not use too many actives over face. Minimised layering by just using 1or 2 actives.
Body
- 1. Use gentle body wash – To combat dryness during monsoon.
- 2. Use lukewarm water to bathe – No hot or cold water. Try to make your bath short (5-7min is advisable)
- 3. Say no to loofah – As it can aggravate dryness of the skin, leaving it itchy and irritable.
- 4. Apply moisturizer – To keep your skin hydrated and healthy. Use at least 7.5ml moisturizer to cover your entire body. Application after bath and before going to bed, twice a day is minimum required.
